Rockstar Unveils GTA 6 Trailer Release Date – Mark Your Calendars!
Hold onto your seats, gamers – the long-anticipated GTA 6 trailer release date has finally been disclosed by Rockstar.
After years of anticipation, the big announcement arrived today (1 December), following a teaser last month on X where Rockstar Games provided a much-awaited update to its fanbase.
The excitement reached a fever pitch when Boss Sam Houser shared that the first trailer for GTA VI would grace screens in ‘early December’. In a tweet, Houser expressed Rockstar Games’ excitement, stating, “In 1998, Rockstar Games was founded on the idea that video games could come to be as essential to culture as any other form of entertainment, and we hope that we have created games you love in our efforts to be part of that evolution.”
“We are very excited to let you know that in early December, we will release the first trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto. We look forward to many more years of sharing these experiences with all of you.”
Today, Rockstar Games confirmed on X that the much-anticipated first trailer will drop on 5 December at 9 am ET (2 pm UK time).
While eager fans will have to wait a bit longer to dive into the game, those with a Netflix subscription can find solace in enjoying three classic GTA titles in the meantime. Netflix announced last month, “Starting today, fans can pre-register to play Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, featuring the genre-defining titles of Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, each updated for mobile.”
“Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition adds to a growing catalog of more than 80 mobile games, with must-play titles across all genres adding further value to all Netflix memberships — including through one of the most iconic series in history, without any ads, in-app purchases, or extra fees.”
The news sparked excitement among gamers, with one tweeting, “Netflix wasn’t playing around when they said they want to be part of the gaming industry.”
“And just like that, I learned Netflix has games. Since when?” wrote a second person.
“Playing video games with my Roku TV remote as god intended,” added a third.
Netflix co-CEO Greg Peters, in a Q3 2023 earnings interview last month, outlined their ambitious plans to significantly grow engagement in the gaming industry over the next few years.
