Body discovered in freezer by family visiting for Christmas
Police in San Diego have uncovered a disturbing incident where a body was discovered in a freezer at a residence on Zion Avenue in the Allied Gardens neighborhood. The discovery was made when out-of-town family members visited the home on December 22nd and promptly contacted the police around 11:45 am.
Given the unusual location of the body, the Homicide Unit was called in to investigate. The gender of the deceased is presumed to be female, but due to the condition of the body and its storage in the freezer, no further details about identity or potential traumatic injuries have been disclosed.
The body is currently in the custody of the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office, where officials are working to determine the cause of death. The news of this grim finding has unsettled the local community, with neighbors expressing shock and concern.
One resident, Ted Durler, described the scene with the house taped off and multiple police cars present. Another neighbor, Austin Cowdrey, expressed his surprise, stating that such incidents are unexpected in their neighborhood. He mentioned that he would be taking extra precautions, especially at night, in response to the discovery.
