Mariah Carey’s children say they’re ‘sick’ of hearing All I Want For Christmas song
“All I want for Christmas is youuuu….”
That familiar tune, undeniably linked to Mariah Carey, has become a constant presence during the festive season. Hearing it multiple times a day is almost inevitable, and it seems like Mariah’s voice is permanently etched in your mind.
While “All I Want For Christmas Is You” remains a holiday classic, there’s a shared sentiment that the song can wear thin after a while. Even Carey’s own children seem to agree.
On Christmas Eve, the singer took to Instagram to share a holiday video featuring her twins, Monroe and Moroccan, who appeared less than thrilled as they stood alongside their festive mom. Carey, dressed in her iconic Santa-esque red jumpsuit with a white fur trim, sat on the floor in front of a glowing Christmas tree.
“Mom, please, we don’t want to do this every time!” they pleaded, dressed in much less festive black clothing.
“It’s just being festive!” Carey replied, attempting to justify her enthusiasm. She added, “It’s not every-“
But the twins had reached their limit. The video captured the moment they stormed off camera, clearly uninterested in hearing another rendition of their mom’s famous song.
Carey, assuring viewers it was all in good fun, shared the video online, writing: “Had to do it. Merry Christmas Eve!!”
This scene echoed a similar one Carey shared with her kids a couple of years ago, where she walked into the room in front of the Christmas tree and burst into song. As she started singing, the camera cut to Monroe and Moroccan, who enthusiastically joined in with slightly less perfect vocals, causing their dogs to bark excitedly.
Fans expressed their love for Carey’s Christmas tradition, with one viewer humorously stating, “I wanna be Mariah Carey’s kids.” Another wrote, “Favorite video I have seen ALL holidays; you and this song only get better with age, honey.”
Taking to Instagram again, Carey thanked fans for making her Christmas song Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and the Global 200 charts, expressing gratitude for the celebratory season. As the festive season continues, there’s still time to hit that play button and enjoy Carey’s holiday magic—unless, of course, you’ve had your fill of her festive tunes.
